• Mr. Basanta Raj Gautam from Nepal is a CSSTEAP alumni who did his CSSTEAP Post Graduate Diploma in RS & GIS during October 2004 to June 2005 at IIRS, Dehradun. Based on his  reserarch work on "Forest resource utilization analysis and pressure modeling at watershed level using geo-spatial tools in a Himalayan Landscape, Rasuwa, District, Nepal" he was awarded Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India in 2006.
  The paper on "Can tree rings be an indicator of environmental impact on trees ?" co-authored by Mr. Gautam is published under Publication section in CSSTEAP website so that he can receive comments from scientists working in similar fields.

• Mr. M.G.S.D. Nilantha from Sri Lanka is a CSSTEAP alumni who did his CSSTEAP P.G. Diploma in RS & GIS during october 2002 to June 2003 at IIRS, Dehradun. He is also doing his research work on "" Drought Assessment & Monitoring using climate & Rs Data with special emphasis on parts of India, Pakistan & Afghanistan for the award of M .Tech degree.
  Mr. Nilkantha is working in International Water Management Institute(IWMI). Sri Lanka and a research report which is a part of his project on the assessment of the National River linking project is enclosed.
